Soo Hoo

Chief Impact Maker at Abundant Impact and Director For Asia Pacific at Global Trainers Federation (Malaysia)

Soo Hoo as the Founding President of the Malaysian Association of Professional Trainers and Coaches (MAPTaC), he is driven by a single mission: to impact #100MillionLives. One of the ways he has been doing this is through the skill building and enhancement of more impact makers who specialize in people development.

As an immersive trainer, he has been conducting training in the area of Sales, Entrepreneurship and Mindset Breakthrough since 2007. To date, he has trained over 70,000 people regionally to participants from over 30 countries including MNCs, GLCs, government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, SMEs and startups.

He began young with a high-flying career in banking sales, servicing high net worth individuals at an international bank. During that time, he was mentored by some of his clients he served, and from these shared experiences, he took the opportunity to launch his own consulting business. Among his memorable moments were growing the profit of a company from RM 200, 000/- to over RM 1, 000, 000/- in profits within 3 years and helping a client (KSKW Cambodia Ltd) to acquire and design a USD2Bil integrated development project in 2007.

His proudest moments in life were when he was awarded the prestigious Global Training & Development Leadership Award by the World HRD Congress in their Silver Jubilee Celebration (2017), Distinguished Trainer (2017), Hall of Fame (2018) in Asia’s Training & Development Excellence Award and as SME Icon by Malaysian Service Provider Confederation (2018) and Best Sales Trainer in Malaysia Golden Globe Tigers Award (2019).

His experiences and love for people development have made him realize that the world is not without compassion; he is truly honored to be appointed as Nexus Governing Committee Member for Malaysia Productivity Corporation, Director of Asia Pacific for Global Trainers Federation and Director of Asia Pacific for the Experiential Learning Institute.
